We Can All Be Knockouts Using Their Secrets Shared Here

When the Oscars approach, I think about what it would be like for an average, every day diva like me, to be able to go. Then I wonder why it would really be such a big deal if I attended anyway…would my life be more defined and deemed more “glamorous” because I attended such an event? What if I actually rubbed shoulders with some of the most gorgeous and most powerfully talented that Hollywood has to offer?

The Hollywood beauties share a lot more in common with us than I think we realize. As women, we all deeply crave beauty. It’s more than what looking in the mirror and liking what you see provides. It’s the magic of the Cinderella slipper…that life will have a fairy tale ending and all will be pure bliss.

What I have learned about beauty is that as I embrace my uniqueness with class and share my passion genuinely with others, that more beauty begets me. A confident woman becomes a beautiful one!

What else I have learned…is some pretty cool secrets that the celebrity girls use that we can too. Implement some of these haute tips in your regime starting today and you just might be one step closer to your Cinderella story unveiling. And don’t forget that every outfit can be accessorized with slippers and a crown! Voila, you too can look awesome at the Oscars!

Here are a few of those secrets:

CATE BLANCHETT
We’ll do whatever it takes to get a complexion as gorgeous as Cate Blanchett’s. Her method? “Olive and macadamia oils are really good for your complexion. Put one of them on in the shower and they make your skin zing,” she told the British edition of InStyle magazine. “I incorporate them into a homemade scrub with grapefruit juice and sea salt — a beauty trick taught to me by a friend of mine.”

SANDRA BULLOCK
The 49-year-old actress gets her skin as smooth as a baby’s you-know-what by using Preparation H on her face. “Putting butt cream under my eyes is one of my best beauty secrets, and stops me from getting lines,” she’s said.

Return to the benefits of nature by doing a short 10 minute daily magnesium foot soak. Pure magnesium crystals that dissolve in a bath or small foot basin or magnesium oil, used the same way is known to increase symptoms caused by fatigue, insomnia, fibromyalgia, and migraines. I get my magnesium oils and bath crystals from http://www.health-and-wisdom.com/store/c/247-Magnesium.aspx. They are also highly beneficial for brighter skin, scalp therapy, and silky hair.

SWEET SILKENING BODY SCRUB

Mix 1/4 cup of coconut oil (my personal favorite), olive or vegetable oil with 1 cup of granulated sugar. Optional add-ins: aromatherapy or essential oil; vitamin A, C or E oil; dried, pulverized rose petals. I also use lavender oil as a relaxing agent.

  •  Cover your floor or sit on the edge of your tub.
  •  With your hands, a loofah or a washcloth, massage mixture onto skin. Use circular motions and light pressure to stimulate circulation.
  •  Rinse off in shower.
  •  Apply a generous amount of rich body lotion all over, starting at your toes.

PEPPERMINT TREAT

A nourishing hand and foot treatment. This recipe is for ten fingers and toes:

Make a paste of 2 tablespoons each of ground almonds, ground oatmeal and honey. Add two egg yolks and 6 drops of peppermint oil. Blend with a whisk.

  •  Slather mixture onto hands and feet.
  •  Cover with clean old socks.
  •  Wear at least 20 minutes before rinsing.
