Faced with the Impossible? Remember…

…who lives in you!

“I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me” (Galatians 2:20).

As a born again believer, Christ lives in you!  The almighty, all knowing, God of the universe, with the creative power that by speaking birthed the heavens and earth, that same creative power through the Holy Spirit dwells in you!

I was reminded of this as I read my morning devotion titled “Christ In Me” in “Morning Moments with GOD” By Grace Fox, which stated, “Christ who loves us enough to die for us, promised to never leave us. He fulfilled His promise by sending the Holy Spirit to indwell us. Imagine – the one for whom nothing is impossible lives in us!

Today if you’re faced with circumstances that seem over whelming, with loss that seems unbearable, with financial challenges that seem endless, with a relationship that is difficult, or a feeling of hopelessness, I want you to remember who you are and whose you are!

If you’re faced with the impossible, whatever “your” impossible looks like right now, I want to encourage you to remember and meditate on the following verses today:

  • “Be Strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; For the Lord your God, He is the one who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you” (Deut. 31:6).
  • “Be strong, all you people of the land, says the LORD and work, for I am with you, says the LORD of hosts, according to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt” (Haggai 2:4-5).
  • “Nevertheless the LORD your God would not listen to Balaam but the LORD your God turned the curse into a blessing for you because the LORD your God loves you” (Deut. 23:5).
  • “Behold, I will bring health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth” (Jer. 33:6).
  • “God will restore us and heal us of our wounds” (Jer. 30:17).
  • “This is an easy thing in the eyes of the LORD; he will also deliver Moab into your hands” (2 Kings 3:18).
  • Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).

The key my friend is to remember, God is for you and He desires good things for you, for me, for His people. However, we may have to wait patiently as God molds us, develops our character, works things out in our life that may be holding us back from God’s best, and “all things together for good” because His plan and His ways are above ours and better than we can imagine.

Ultimately, the greatest gift and work is salvation and if nothing else, remember as you run the race to not shrink back, as I cover in my article “We Do Not Belong to Those Who Shrink Back and Are Destroyed”, rise up in the confidence we’ve been given or should have in Christ!

Press on for the high calling that you have in Christ Jesus!
